Five lake district

The five lakes district describes the area around the lake of Starnberg, the lake of Ammer, the lake of Wörth, the lake of Pilsen and the lake of Wessling in upper bavaria. It´s known for its glacier shaped, hilly morain landscape with imbedded lakes and ponds. It´s a popular destination for holidays with lots of sights, bathing places, bike and hicking trails and almost infinite possibilities for free time activities.

Raft trips

Get to know bavarian traditions. A raft trip on the river Isar is a unique experience. Daily between May 1st. and mid September the raft trips for passengers take place on the river Loisach and Isar. Take off point is Wolfratshausen (7km from Icking), destination point is Munich. The trip takes about 5 to 7 hours.

Alpamare Bad Tölz

With 500.000 visitors per year the water park Alpamare is one of germanys biggest and combines a mixture of water park (action) and european thermal bath (relaxation).

The Alpamare is located in Bad Tölz, about 30 km south of Icking.
